Physical life on earth is short and transitory. Our physical clock stops ticking when death comes calling and we leave behind grieving friends and family, sad that we're 'gone.'
Hollywood loves this genre - the invisible person, except to one real living person, who communicates and / carries out the wishes of the dead person. We want to communicate with the dead - is this possible? Advisable?
So what really happens when we die? Can we find this out?
I believe that there are answers, that there is ONE RECORDED case in all history of a dead person coming back to life after three days and meeting with those who knew Him, being seen by many in the city until He left to be with His Father. His experiences and knowledge are recorded in the Bible and as we look at what He says, we will have our own personal GPS on what will happen to us when we die.
Some questions that still need to be answered....
- What happens to those who kill themselves?
- What about children / infants who die?
- Will we be able to recognise one another, communicate with each other etc?
Please add thoughts and your own questions to this list....
Thanks for the site :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really not sure about those that kill themselves, I guess God who sees the heart will decide. Sometimes the circumstances leading to that point can be too much to bear and personally I don't think a loving God will judge that callously. Children are innocent until they know right from wrong.....legally the age is seven and sometimes till fourteen, conditionally but I'm not sure what God says about that? And death....well...a welcome relief to life, if we can truly believe all God's promises :) yet to love Him enough to stay in the meantime and be effective in all He has called us to.
